In fraud, prevention is definitely better than cure. The best way of managing fraud is to prevent it from happening. But of course, it is very difficult to take the right action when fraud is uncovered.

The investigation becomes difficult, time consuming, frustrating and expensive. To charge fraudsters criminally becomes a nightmare. Why is this so and how can we make it easier, is perhaps the reason the Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA) trained for the for the first time in fraud prevention and detection, in Lilongwe.

Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Educational and training Authority (TEVETA) Executive Director, Mr Yusuf Alide, has been elected vice president of the International Vocational Education and Training Association (IVETA) responsible for the Africa Region.

This follows elecions held in during the IVETA Business Congress held in Georgia, US, on November 28. 2012.

IVETA is an organisation consisting of networks of vocational educators, vocational skills training organisations, business, industrial firms, other individuals and groups interested or involved in vocational education and training worldwide.
